Last December 7, we launched our book entitled Pinoy@Work. The book is actually a compilation of selected columns from People at Work Pulse written by graduate students and Ateneo CORD staff. The column ran for 3 years and eventually ended last year (hopefully to be resurrected in another form) when I thought of putting together articles into a book form. The publishing process is pretty much like child-birth - lots of labor pain but in the end you just feel ecstatic! The launch was really fun too as the Ateneo CORD and ORP staff got dressed in various work costumes to celebrate the occasion.
For the longest time, I've been holding off making this website. My generation grew up paranoid about publishing information about yourself for all the world to see. The irony is, I've been doing research on information, communication technology for the past years. So i know the downside and upside to it. It can liberate, bridge, educate and yes even, isolate and divide people. But there is no denying its power. So here I am. Online. At last. |
